I never wanted to leave my fate in someone else's hands. As a multi-sport athlete, I found track and never looked back — throwing myself into training so brutal most people couldn't survive a single session.
With the guidance of an exceptional coach, I became the top youth athlete in Canada. D1 and Ivy League schools came calling with full rides, but standardized testing blocked the path. What looked like a setback turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me. I went to Canada's top track program, made two national teams in two years, and claimed national and collegiate titles in the hurdles.
