In an industry where the odds are stacked against you - where height, race, and tradition often dictate who gets to dance - I rose above it all. At nearly 6'0", I defied the expectations of what a ballerina 'should' look like and made history as the first Black dancer to be hired by a Russian ballet company. I am living proof that hard work and determination will always outweigh conformity. Dare to dream!
